Obituaries Project

The WVGS Obituaries Project consists of indexing obituaries from local papers in the Northwest Maricopa County, Arizona ONLY!

We do NOT have access to Phoenix or area newspapers OTHER than the ones described below.

The Indexes are by year and are in Alphabetical order by last name, so you can scroll, or use the search capability of your browser to search for names. With MS Internet Explorer just click Edit, then Find on this Page. Insert the name you are looking for and click search.

NOTE: These are LARGE files, so depending on the speed of your connection it may take a couple minutes to download and display.

The 2004 to 2008 year to date indexes are being developed and will be here when available.

Please don't request any obituaries UNLESS you find the person in these indexes!

Include your Email address, the Name of the Deceased, Date of Publication and Newspaper along with a Self Addressed Stamped Envelope and a check for $5 for each obituary desired. The obituaries indexed below are from the Daily News Sun, except those where the published date is marked with an * which are from the Sun City Independent.
